McGannon Sanatarium


Washakie Sanitarium, approx. 1910.

The Washakie Sanitarium was, as shown in the next photo, also known as the Washakie Hotel and Bathhouse. At one time there were six hotels at the springs to serve those seeking the medicinal qualities of the waters. Only, the Plaza presently remains. The most famous, the Carter, was torn down in 1966.
